We are seeking someone who has a strong community spirit, a passion for football and desire to contribute to our #For the Town vision to work on a voluntary basis assisting our Head Groundsman manage our playing surfaces at Inver Park and Larne Academy of Sport.
Ideally the person would have previous Groundsman experience, but that is not essential as training will be provided. Larne FC will also offer the opportunity to complete a recognised Groundsman qualification.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard-working person with a keen interest in grounds maintenance/landscaping, to be a part of the Larne FC family and help us deliver on our ambitions for further success on and off the pitch.
TITLE: Volunteer Groundsman
LOCATION: Inver Park & Larne Academy of Sport
HOURS: To be agreed
THE ROLE:
Working with the Head Groundsman to:-
- Ensure the playing pitches at Inver Park and The Cliff are maintained in the best possible condition with the ultimate aim of setting the highest standards of pitch quality within the Irish League.
- Help maintain the Stadium arena at Inver Park including terraces, walkways, paths, lighting and parking facilities including removal of rubbish following games and training sessions.
- Assist with pre-match inspections and preparation of pitches to ensure best possible playing surface for games.
- Be part of a matchday facilities team to manage and deal with any facilities issues that may arise when spectators are in the stadium.
