We are delighted to announce the signing of Jennifer McDade, who joins the Inver Women ahead of the 2026 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership season.
Jennifer started her career at Crusaders Strikers, before taking her talents state-side with a scholarship at Southern Mississippi University. On her return home, she made the move to the Rathmore, first joining Linfield in 2014, during an extremely successful period for the South Belfast outfit.
After a move to League of Ireland’s Shelbourne, she then moved to Glentoran in 2021 before her second spell with the Blues in 2024.
Her experience of top-flight football across the island adds significant quality and leadership to the squad as they continue to prepare for this season’s campaign.
Manager Matthew Crawford welcomed the signing:
“I am pleased to welcome Jennifer to the club. She has shown a high level of commitment joining the club and being driven in wanting to challenge herself and others to maintain high standards.
“I feel Jennifer will have a positive impact on the squad going forward through her desire to work hard and compete at the highest level.
“I look forward to working with her to continue her development going forward alongside the rest of the staff.”
On joining the Inver Women, Jennifer said:
“I am very happy to be joining Larne for the season ahead. After speaking with Matthew & Clare and the rest of the coaching team, I could see that it’s an excellent set-up, and the girls have been very welcoming.
“Having seen the training sessions first-hand, I’m really excited for the challenge ahead. I hope to bring my experience and energy to the team and contribute in any way I can.”
