LARNE’s Irish Cup hopes came to an end at the semi-final stage as Coleraine ran out 2-1 winners after extra-time at the National Stadium on Saturday.
Joel Cooper fired the Bannsiders into a 12th minute lead, but Gary Haveron’s men came back to level just after the hour mark thanks to Matty Lusty.
This took the tie into extra-time and it was the Bannsiders who booked their spot in the decider when Matthew Shevlin fired home seven minutes from the end.
