LARNE claimed an important three points in this year’s title race with a 2-0 win away to Linfield on Saturday, as Gary Haveron’s men retuened to winning ways.
Andy Ryan sent his strike partner Matty Lusty clear of the home defence to break the deadlock after just nine minutes and Larne wrapped up victory in the closing stages when Matt Ridley nodded in from Tomas Cosgrove’s cross to make it two.
It leaves Larne three points clear of Glentoran and five ahead of Coleraine going into the final two games of the season – starting with Friday’s trip to the Oval to take on the Glens.
