Invermen are out of the blue for new third kit

We are delighted to announce the launch of the club’s brand new third kit, which will be given its debut in today’s Easy Antrim derby away to Carrick Rangers.

The limited edition kit will be the Invermen’s first royal blue shirt in a generation, the colour being synonymous with away kits through the 1980’s and 90’s.

A pre-order for the shirt will be available at the start of next week through the club’s online shop, with delivery guaranteed for Christmas.

The new shirt, as with our home and away kits throughout the 2020/21 campaign, will be adorned with the logo of our principal partner BoyleSports, as well as Larne Port, Brennan Hygiene and Pride & Pinion. We are also proud to carry the white ribbon from Women’s Aid.

Speaking about the launch, chairman Gareth Clements said: “Over the last few years we’ve had a number of different launches for our brand new kits, from doing it in person at Inver Park to the highly successful online launch of this season’s away kit in the summer.

“For this third kit we felt we wanted to something a little bit different and we hope launching on the day of today’s derby will help give us maximum exposure.

“We’ve listened to the feedback from our fans, both in the survey we carried out earlier in the year as well as through supporter engagement sessions and there was overwhelming support for a return of a blue kit.

“Fans of a certain vintage associate this with another of the club’s golden periods and we’re delighted to bring it back as third option for this season.

“Having not launched a brand new home kit for this season we felt it was the right time to make the third kit available to purchase. We have a feeling this will prove a big hit in the run up to Christmas.”
