Inver Act of Remembrance to take place on Friday

This year’s Act of Remembrance will take place ahead of our game against Crusaders, on Friday 5th November.

The event will begin at 6.15pm, taking place in the Church End Stand, and is open to anyone who would like to attend.

Board members, players, management, as well as representatives from the Supporters Clubs and members of Royal British Legion will all in attendance for the poignant service.

Looking ahead to this year’s event, Club Chaplain Ian Cahoon said: “This has become an important event in the life of the club and it has been really encouraging to see a very wide variety of people taking part.

“The Act of Remembrance gives us an opportunity to pay our respects to men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the peace and safety we enjoy.

“Primarily, we think of those who have done that while serving in the two world wars, but also for those who have done likewise in conflicts around the world.

“We’re really glad not to have to restrict numbers again this year. The reason we do this in advance of the game is that it allows us to do more and for players and management to be involved.”
