We are pleased to announce the arrival of Meghan Ingram who has joined from Ballyclare Comrades.
Ingram is a versatile player, with the ability to play across the midfield and in forward positions.
Originally from North Carolina in the USA, Ingram played for Meredith College for four years while studying at university. During her time at the college, the player started 34 out of 47 games, contributing five goals along with four assists.
In 2019, Ingram made the move to Northern Ireland and signed for Crusaders Strikers where she made a successful 19 appearances and scored three goals. Continuing at Seaview, Ingram then suffered two significant knee injury which threatened to end her playing career.
Eager to continue within the domestic game, the American made a full recovery and joined NIWFA Championship side Ballyclare Comrades, where she captained the Dixon Park side before agreeing a return to the top-flight with the Inver Reds.
The 29-year-old discussed the move:
“I’m feeling really excited about joining the club. I feel better within myself after the injury and I am ready for the jump from the Championship to the Premiership.
“I am ready for the challenge and to help the team finish as high up in the table as we can. I am aiming to get as much game time as possible and I want to impress the fans with my skills so I hope they get behind me.
“The team looks great. I have watched some of their performances and I was impressed so I can’t wait to be on the pitch with them and show everyone what I can do. The professionalism at the club also impressed me so I am really happy to be here.”
General Manager William Noble added:
“Meghan is a fantastic addition and we are really excited to have this signing across the line.
“With Meghan’s ability to feed the ball to strikers to create assists and goalscoring opportunities as well as being able to play further up the pitch and get the ball into the back of net, I have no doubt that Meghan will be a great fit for the team and I can’t wait for the fans to see what she can do.”
