Larne Ladies under-13’s welcomed Glentoran Ladies under-13’s to Inver Park as the girls continued with their pre season preparations on Sunday.

And once more it was another fantastic display from the team as they continued their strong form with a 3-0 victory.

After the victory, manager John Clarke said: “The girls have a tremendous team spirit which has now become synonymous with their style of play.

“Even though we dominated for long periods, the girls reached half-time with a slender 1-0 lead, courtesy of a neat back post finish from a corner by Eimear Ward.

“The Glentoran girls came out for the second half with a renewed vigour and put us under a lot of pressure. But our girls stood strong and weathered the storm, led by the rock solid Poppy Restrick.

“Soon the team was back on the front foot, with the midfield trio of Rebecca Hawkins, Anna Clark and Morgan Beattie leading the charge.

“Eventually, the pressure told and further goals from Mia Snoddy and a debut goal from Lucy Urwin gave our girls a deserved 3-0 victory.”

Next up for the girls is Lurgan Town Ladies U13’s on Sunday 13th September at Inver Park from 2 – 3.30pm.
