Huddersfield Town side set for Inver Park friendly

WE are delighted to announce that Tiernan Lynch’s Champions will be taking on Huddersfield Town’s under-19’s in a friendly at Inver Park on Saturday 30th March

With a two week break in the calendar because of international and Tennent’s Irish Cup fixtures, the game comes at the ideal time ahead of the Bluefin Sports Championship run-in.

It is also the first game at Inver Park since the title was secured with a 3-0 win over Ballinamallard.

The match will kick-off at 3pm and entry costs will be just £5 for adults, £2 for concessions. One child per paying adult, will receive free entry to the game. Season tickets and Larne Youth passes will not be valid for the game.

First team manager Tiernan Lynch is relishing the test. He said: “It’s a game we can really look forward to.

“I have obviously been over there to see them work, ahead of Dom Tear and Isaac Marriot coming here and they have a lot of really good players.

“It’s a great environment. They are keen to come here to play us and test their players in a different way, against a senior side.

“It’ll also be a good test for us against a full-time side, who are technically and tactically very good. It also comes at a good time, as we prepare for the final month of the season.

“Dom Tear will obviously be up against the club he is on loan from, and it lets them see how he is developing.

“We’re very pleased to have him and feel the loan has been working out well for him and ourselves.”

Come along on the day and show your support for the Champions as we welcome the young stars of the English Premier League side.
