LARNE Football Club is delighted to announce the loan signings of midfield duo Dominic Tear and Isaac Marriott from Huddersfield Town.

Both players have signed on loan until the end of the season, and hope to be available for Saturday’s game at home to Loughgall (2pm), subject to international clearance.

The players, who are both 19-years-old, have been involved with English Premier League club’s Elite Development Squad this season.

Dominic, a right-sided attacking midfielder, was named as the club’s Academy Player of the Year, while holding midfielder Isaac spent time on loan at Brighouse Town last term.

First team manager Tiernan Lynch explained how the move came about: “They are two players with exciting futures.

“Huddersfield were keen to get them a loan move and we discussed the possibility of them coming to Larne and experience of men’s football.

“I think they’ll bring enthusiasm, legs and a lot of energy. I was lucky enough to be over at Huddersfield last week and they were training with the first team when I was there.

“They’re very talented boys who have played regularly with the under-23’s and played in Europe with them.

“So while they’re very young, they come with good experience for that age and they get to step up a level.”
