We are pleased to announce that five players from our 2010 Professional Development Phase (PDP) squad have been selected to represent a Northern Ireland U14 select squad which will face Bohemian FC at Holm Park this Sunday.

Phoenix Blayney (GK), Zach O’Hara (RB), Alfie Mulvenna (CB), Jude Crawford (CM) and Jamison Rainey (CF) have all been selected having taken part in the Irish FA’s National PDP Programme throughout 2023.

Alongside representing Northern Ireland in Armagh this weekend, the players are five of a total of nine 2010 players who have been invited back to the national development programme in 2024, which will take place from January until May.

With nine players selected across three of the four centres within the programme, our 2010 squad boasts the largest representation of any club in Northern Ireland across their age group. The following players are those will represent the club on the programme:

Belfast Centre – Phoenix Blayney, Alfie Mulvenna, Ryan Miller

North West Centre – Corey Ramsey, Jude Crawford

Mid Ulster Centre – Jamison Rainey, Zach O’Hara

Reflecting on the national recognition for our players, Elite Academy Director Ryan Prentice commented:

“Everyone within our academy set-up is delighted for the five players who have been selected to represent Northern Ireland this weekend and for the nine players overall who will once again be taking part in the national PDP programme throughout 2024.

“This recognition highlights the number of top-quality young players who are currently playing within our academy and are regarded as the best in Northern Ireland within their age group. To see five receive their recognition at international level is fantastic and shows the benefits of the club’s PDP programme which was launched in 2023.

“I would like to personally wish all players the very best of luck and look forward to their continued development in 2024.”
