We are delighted to announce that Erin Montgomery has signed an extension on her professional contract with the Inver Women, which will see her remain at the club until at least 2027.
The extension comes after the forward signed her first professional contract last year, in a further commitment to the long-term project surrounding women’s football at Inver Park.
Montgomery, who has made a huge impact at Inver Park since arriving from Lisburn Rangers in July 2023, got her Larne career off to the perfect start by scoring a hat-trick on her debut to secure a vital 3-2 win over Lisburn Ladies.
Having proven to be a key player throughout the second half of last season as the Inver Women secured a 7th place finish in their first-ever top-flight campaign, Montgomery will be looking forward to building on the progress that the team have made with the 2024 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership season starting in just over a week.
After extending her contract at the club, the player said:
“I really believe in the project that is being built here and can see the direction that the club is going in, it’s exciting.
“Having signed a professional contract last year, I am delighted to have extended my deal and commit my future here even further. I believe that it is the best place for me to develop as a footballer and I can’t wait for the new league campaign to get underway in just over a week.
“Ever since I joined last year, everything has been brilliant. From the facilities to the coaching staff, all of the players and everything else in between, I’m really excited to continue my journey here.”
Alongside signing a contract extension, Montgomery will also be showcasing a new squad number this season. The striker makes the switch to the number 10 jersey, having worn the number 44 last season.
