We are pleased to announce the signing of forward Danni Jennings ahead of the upcoming Sports Direct Women’s Premiership season, which begins this weekend.

Jennings bolsters Donald Malomo-Paris’ squad for the campaign ahead, having played for Lisburn Ladies in NIFL’s top-flight last season where she featured in 11 Women’s Premiership games.

The attacker, who will wear the number 28 shirt this season, will train with the team this week and could debut against her former club when we face off against Lisburn Ladies in this Sunday’s league opener at Inver Park.

Discussing the move, Jennings said:

“I’m delighted to have joined Larne for the upcoming season and look forward to the season beginning this Sunday.

“Having played in the Women’s Premiership last season, I was impressed with Larne’s overall performance as a team debuting at that level.

“I believe that the set-up here at Inver Park and the Larne Academy of Sport is the best available to female players in terms of professionalism and the club is taking a long-term view towards improving each year, which is a vision that excites me.

“As a player that can play out wide or as a central striker, I hope that I can play my part for the season ahead by providing goals and assists which will allow the squad to build on last season’s first Premiership campaign.”

William Noble added:

“It’s great to be able to confirm that Danni will be playing her football at Inver for the 2024 season, as this is a deal we have been keen to get over the line before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

“Danni is a player who we had been aware of having played for Lisburn Ladies last season and she actually got in touch with the club herself to ask for an opportunity to get involved.

“We want our players to take pride in wearing the Larne shirt while understanding the benefits that come with playing for the club in terms of professionalism and opportunities, so for someone to make the step and get in touch is a testament to her desire to play at the highest level and improve.”
