We are delighted to announce that Tomas Cosgrove has signed a new contract to keep him at Inver Park until 2024.

The full-back, who joined from Cliftonville in the summer of 2018, has established himself as a mainstay of the team and become a key component of the club’s resurgence over the last three years.

Tomas, 28, played 4206 minutes last season – the most of any player across the Danske Bank Premiership, taking part in 47 of the Invermen’s 48 games across league, cups and European play-offs.

During his time at the club Tomas has won a Bluefin Sport Championship medal, County Antrim Shield winners medal, European play-offs as well as helping the club to their highest league position in almost 30 years.

Boss Tiernan Lynch is delighted to see Tomas extend his stay at the club further.

He said: “We feel it’s a real signal of intent for Tomas to sign this new, long-term deal at the club.

“Tomas came here as a very successful player at that point in his career and we feel he has got even better and stronger from that point on.

“He is rightly regarded as one of the best players in the league and we are delighted that he has committed his future at Inver Park, which would take him to seven years at the club.

“It’s a sign of the confidence we have in him, but it’s also a sign of his confidence that this club is building so that we can go from strength to strength in the near future.

“Tomas clearly enjoys his football here and really thrives in the full-time environment, so he is delighted and we are too.”
