We are delighted to announce the signing of Cleo Hagans, who joins Larne FC Women ahead of the upcoming season.
Cleo arrives following her time with Wellington Recreation FC Women, having previously progressed through their youth setup before gaining senior experience.
She comes in as versatile player capable of operating in central midfield or defence. Having played across multiple positions throughout her development, Cleo has most recently played in a wide attacking role. Cleo’s start in football began with Wellington Rec 2009’s boys’ teams, where she developed to play for their first-team women’s side.
Speaking after signing, Cleo said:
“I am so glad that I have been given this opportunity to play for my local team it is a massive opportunity for me to show my ability to show the way I play.
“I am so glad to have such a wonderful group of girls around me and such supporting coaches that will push me to my limit and will never let me say ‘I can’t do it.’
“I am so excited to see what happens in the future.”
Cleo’s signing reflects the club’s focus on strengthening the squad with young ambitious players as preparations continue for the new campaign.
