We are pleased to announce that through our strong relationship with Clearer Water, the company have agreed to become the official Hydration Partner of the Larne Academy of Sport.

As part of the agreement, Clearer Water will provide the facility with water coolers and water bottles which will be used throughout each day to provide hydration for our first team squad, student athletes, women’s players, academy players and the wider Larne community who use the multi-functional facility each evening.

Clearer Water is an established ‘social impact company’, with their product bottled locally at source in Magheramorne. Known as ‘The Water That Helps People’, the company plays a key role within the Larne community via its commitment to employing a diverse mixed ability workforce.

Through inclusive mixed employment practices, Clearer Water drives transformative social impact by closing the gap on disability inclusion in the workplace.

Having received SALSA certification, Clearer Water operates at high standards that are recognised across the industry.

Clearer Water’s presence throughout the Larne Academy of Sport will ensure that Tiernan Lynch’s squad and the rest of the club are given daily access to the best quality water available to aid performance on the pitch as well as the other users who avail of the fantastic set up the facility has to offer.

Commenting on the partnership, Larne FC CEO Niall Curneen said:

“I am proud that a relationship between the club and a local business has been expanded for the benefit a community facility like Larne Academy of Sport.

“Clearer Water have once again joined forces to provide hydration for all users at the Larne Academy of Sport as well as our own athletes and this move shows their commitment as much as our to deliver For The Town.

“Having these water coolers readily available within the facility will not only aid preparation of our first team squad who train each day, but it will also support our academy and women’s players who use the facility in the evenings – alongside our student athletes who complete their studies within the facility also.

“As an organisation, Clearer Water have been playing a key role with their social impact within the Larne community for many years. Their commitment to having a diverse, mixed ability workforce has enabled many individuals within Larne to benefit from gaining employment and this aligns perfectly with our vision of being ‘for the town’ in everything we do.

“I would like to thank Ross Lazaroo-Hood and Sitki Gelmen for their continued support of what we are trying to do at the club and their commitment to the wider community through this support and look forward to watching the growth of Clearer Water through strong relationships like this.”

Brighter Futures Secretary and trustee of the Larne Academy of Sport Gregg Humphrey added:

“I would like to welcome everyone involved with Clearer Water on board as our Hydration Partner. The Larne Academy of Sport is an outstanding facility which is being used by so many members of the local community on a daily and weekly basis for sporting and education purposes.

“We are thankful that due to the support Clearer Water have provided, these users will now be able to keep themselves hydrated at no cost to themselves, which will no doubt improve their performance and overall experience whilst using the facility.

Ross Lazaroo-Hood, Global CEO/Clearer Water, co-owner commented:

“Healthy hydration is vital to every player’s performance and that is why we are thrilled to announce our ongoing partnership with Larne Academy of Sport which is associated with the Steven Gerrard Academy.

“We take our time to consider the right partners for our group and have been continually impressed by the Larne Academy of Sport management team, scholars, and player’s professionalism and passion for the beautiful game plus community spirit.

“Our perfectly naturally Irish spring water will offer the players the needed healthy hydration – providing them with essential balanced pH 7.8 and minerals to maintain performance and aid recovery both on and off the pitch throughout their seasons.”
