This Sunday (5th May), we are hosting our community day at Inver Park to celebrate being back-to-back champions. Read on to find out everything that’s in-store for the day.
COMMUNITY FUN DAY (12-3pm)
The free event will kick-off at 12pm with the community fun day, which will see a whole host of activities for those of all ages to enjoy. From bouncy castles and inflatables to a BBQ and refreshments, it promises to be an afternoon filled with entertainment for the whole family!
The showpiece of the afternoon, the Gibson Cup, will be on display for photo opportunities for everyone in attendance.
LARNE WOMEN VS LISBURN LADIES (3pm kick-off)
At 3pm, Larne Women take centre-stage on the pitch as they begin their 2024 Sports Direct Women’s Premiership campaign against Lisburn Ladies. As part of the community day, admission to the match will be FREE for everyone!
After finishing 7th in the league in the 2023 campaign, the Inver Women will be looking to build on that, starting this Sunday.
It’s been a busy transfer window for Donald Malmo-Paris’ side as they look to strengthen key areas of the squad. With the deadline now passed, signings like Kate Nicolson, Maddie Brant, Stacey Qosja and Melissa Storey from the U.S could prove to be crucial.
Also arriving at the club ahead of the new campaign, Cerys Sharkey, Tara Gilmore, and Danni Jennings could give the side the edge in what looks to be another highly competitive campaign.
CINCO DE MAYO (5pm onwards)
The celebrations continue Cinco De Mayo style once the action has come to an end on the pitch!
With free entry, make sure to join us in 1889 Sports and Social Club as DJ’s Ging, Hendi, Longers and Kris P will be providing all of the entertainment with beer and shot promotions throughout the event.
CAR PARKING
For the duration of the full day, those attending are to be aware that the car park within Inver Park will be closed.
Those attending will also need to be mindful of church services taking place nearby and to park responsibly.
1889 SPORTS AND SOCIAL CLUB
Both the main bar and the fanzone bar will be in operation on Sunday from the start of the celebrations at 12pm.
If you want to take a break from the celebrations, there will be live sport on the screens inside the main bar, with Brighton vs Aston Villa and Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur on throughout the day.
