We are delighted to announce Caolan Donnelly has become the latest Scholar at the club to sign a professional contract.

Hot on the heels of Sean Brown doing likewise, 17-year-old Caolan has put pen-to-paper on a contract at Inver Park.

Caolan made his debut almost a year ago, coming off the bench as a 16-year-0ld, in a League Cup victory over Limavady United at Inver Park.

The central midfielder has also enjoyed international call-ups of late to both Northern Ireland under-17’s and under-18’s side.

Senior boss Tiernan Lynch has given us the lowdown as Caolan joins a long list of Academy prospects to turn professional at the club.

“Caolan is a very technically gifted footballer,” Lynch said.

“He is very comfortable on the ball and we’ve seen that, even when he has had the opportunity to join in with the first team squad.

“Supporters got another glimpse of Caolan in action last Tuesday and, again, he didn’t look out of place.

“We’re looking forward to working even more closely with Caolon now as we look to help him build his all-round game and give him the platform to develop his game further.”
