Brighter Futures receives Cayman Islands support

Mar 24, 2023 | Charity, All News

We are pleased to announce that the Trustees of Brighter Futures have received a significant donation courtesy of Ally Kerr and friends, which will be made available to the local community to bid for via the Brighter Futures grants initiative.

Born and raised in Larne, Ally Kerr now spearheads his business portfolio from the Cayman Islands and has been an esteemed supporter of Brighter Futures since our launch in December 2019.

A regular visitor back home, Ally has partnered up with several friends and fellow Cayman Island residents to donate £20,000 towards the BF community funds programme for 2023.

Speaking on behalf of the group providing the donation, Ally commented:

“The Cayman Islands hosts many international communities and is built on circa 137 different nationalities. As businessmen, we strive to not only support local charities, but others that are further afield and close to our hearts.

“Having personally been involved with the Brighter Futures project before, it made sense to support this amazing cause. The Trustees do such a great job in helping the community and bringing a smile to many faces.”

Brighter Futures Trustee Roy Logan added:

“This generous gift from Ally and friends is greatly appreciated by myself and my fellow trustees. Having known Ally for many years, I am only too aware of how much affection he holds for our town and its wider community.

“The donation will assist many recipients to fulfil their individual and collective dreams, whether that be via Sport & Recreation, Business Enterprise, Education &Training, or Community Needs.”
