LARNE booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Clearer Water Irish Cup with a 5-0 win over 10-man Glenavon at Inver Park.
Two goals at the end of the first half from Lee Bonis set the home side on their way to victory, with Andy Ryan adding two of his own at the start of the second half.
The second of Ryan’s goals came from the penalty spot, which saw Isaac Baird sent off as he pulled the Scottish striker back inside the box.
Lee Bonis completed his hat-trick late on to ensure the Invermen made the quarter-finals for the sixth season running, where we will face a tie against Championship side Newington during the first weekend in March.
The second half also saw the introduction of first year scholar James Simpson, making his debut for the club.
