We are pleased to confirm two players from our senior men’s squad have received Northern Ireland call-ups ahead of next week’s fixtures.

Kofi Balmer and Matty Lusty have been selected to represent their country at under-19 and under-21 level respectively.

Defender Kofi – a summer arrival at the club from Ballymena United – continues his progress with the Northern Ireland under-21 side, now managed by John Schofield.

Schofield’s side face a European Championship qualifying double-header, with a trip to Malta on Friday 3rd September ahead of the game at home to Slovakia on Tuesday 7th September.

Teenage forward Matty, who has progressed to Larne’s senior side from the Academy, will be involved in Gerard Lyttle’s under-19 side.

They will take on their Faroe Islands counterparts in a home double-header, firstly at Mourneview Park on Wednesday 1st September and then on Friday 3rd, at the Oval.

Everyone at the club wants to wish Kofi and Matty every success in their ongoing international careers.
