Larne Football Club is excited to announce the management and coaching team which will lead our women’s senior squad into the NIFL Women’s Premiership for the first time in our history.
Ahead of the new season, William Noble will take up the role as Director of Women’s Football, with Amanda Morton becoming Player Manager of our senior team. In her new role, Amanda will be supported by a coaching team including Ben Tilney, Helen McKenna and Bradley McAdam.
Elaine Kernohan will also remain part of the set-up as Team Attendant. Emma Traynor, previously a Sports Scientist at Rangers Women, will also support the coaching team as a Strength & Conditioning Consultant.
Amanda, who joined from Crusaders Strikers in 2020 played a vital role as our first team secured promotion to the Women’s Premiership last season and will continue to feature in a playing capacity throughout our inaugural top-flight campaign. Currently completing her UEFA A License, Amanda will combine her management role alongside heading up our academy as Girls Academy Director.
William Noble, who has been part of our senior women’s set-up since its relaunch in 2018, will make the step up to Director of Women’s Football, while Bradley McAdam will remain as Goalkeeping Coach.
New recruits within the coaching team include former men’s first team player Ben Tilney, who has coaching experience at local side Futuro Falcons to back up his extensive playing career. Former Northern Ireland international Helen McKenna has been promoted internally from last season’s Olympic coaching team and will provide invaluable experience having played at the highest level on the domestic and international stage.
Gary Hood has stepped down from his coaching role at the Inver Women. We’d like to thank Gary for all of his hard work, after playing a key role in the club’s rise to the Women’s Premiership. Well respected by all within the women’s set-up, we look forward to seeing him in the stands supporting our teams next season.
