Larne Academy prospects Harry Adair and Conall Curran will spend the 2022/23 season loan to neighbours Ballyclare Comrades.

Both players signed their first professional contracts at the clubs before the end of last season after impression as Scholars at the club.

They have also both had taste of first team action, with 20-year-old Harry coming off the bench in the final game of each of the last two seasons, against Coleraine at Inver Park and then away to Crusaders.

Conall Curran, 18, made his mark on his debut with two goals against his new side in December’s County Antrim Shield semi-final at Inver Park (pictured) and also featured in this summer’s first pre-season friendly away to Dundalk.

Senior boss Tiernan Lynch believes the loan moves will benefit both players and their new club.

He said: “Both lads have shown great promise in our Academy and this is another important step in their development.

“It is a good move for them to compete in senior football week in, week out and a good move for Ballyclare too.

“They are getting two talented and dedicated young men and we know they will be well looked after by Stephen Small and all at Ballyclare.”
