We are pleased to confirm this year’s Act of Remembrance will take place on Friday 3rd November, ahead of our game against Cliftonville at Inver Park.
As we have done for the last four years, the short service will be open to everyone connected to the club to come and pay their respects to the fallen and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice during the two World Wars and conflicts around the world.
Representatives from each of the three Supporters Clubs, members of the Royal British Legion and personnel from the club will join together in the Club Sport Church End, for a ceremony beginning at 5.45pm.
This will again be led by Club Chaplain Ian Cahoon and will include a Bible reading, prayers, minute’s silence, laying of the wreaths and the Last Post.
Looking ahead to the event, Ian said: “This has become an important date in the club’s calendar and I would encourage as many as possible to come along and pay their respects.
“Having the input from all three supporters clubs, first team and local Royal British Legion ensures that as a club we can adequately remember those from our community who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.”
