We are pleased to announce a new long-term partnership with Shankill Junior FC at academy level.
With successful partnership like this already established clubs like Greenisland and Bloomfield, this new partnership aims to emulate that and provide a mutual benefit to both clubs.
The partnership will aim to give Shankill Juniors’ players an enhanced player pathway into our academy setup at Inver Park and provide opportunities to progress into our NIFL squads at various age groups.
Partnership games events will also be held regularly between all of our partnership clubs, offering a better opportunity to collaborate and share models and ideas as we aim to grow together.
Players from our partnership clubs can experience what it is like to be a full-time footballer through our Day Release programme while coaches will benefit from development opportunities on a regular basis.
Speaking on the announcement, Technical Director of Larne FC, Keith O’Hara said:
“On behalf of everyone at Larne FC, I would like to sincerely thank Shankill Juniors for their partnership and for entrusting us with the development of their youth players.
“This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to player development, pathway opportunities, and raising standards within youth football.
“We value this partnership greatly and look forward to building a strong future together.
William Cowan, Chairman of Shankill Junior FC, added:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with a club like Larne FC and we believe as a club this relationship will provide significant opportunities for the development of our players and coaches.
“Larne is continually evolving and representing NI football in a positive light making this an exciting partnership for us.
“Most importantly, it will help create a clear pathway and supported transition for our players from grassroots football into the NIFL environment.
“We look forward to working closely together and developing the partnership over the coming years.”
