We are pleased to announce that the club has joined forces with Bloomfield FC in an exciting new academy partnership.
The East Belfast based club boast one of Northern Ireland’s largest academy set-ups with over 500 boys and girls enjoying weekly training sessions and matches for their 42 junior teams.
At senior level, the club’s men’s first team currently plays in 1C of the Northern Amateur Football League and is one of five senior squads to represent the club alongside a senior women’s team and over 35’s side.
The partnership arrangement will mirror that of the Inver Reds’ existing relationships with Newcastle United, Greenisland and St. Mary’s amongst other clubs – being mutually beneficial to include the sharing of resources, facilities and opportunities to aid the growth of both players and coaches alike.
Discussing the partnership, the club’s Technical Director Andy Mitchell commented:
“I’m really pleased to welcome everyone at Bloomfield into our network of academy partners. We want to continue surrounding ourselves with forward thinking clubs who are keen to create new opportunities for players and coaches, and Bloomfield fit into that category.
“Whilst the communication has been going on between both clubs for some time now, it is great to make the partnership fully official and we will continue the strong progress made to date to give both sets of players the best opportunities possible to maximise the development an pathways between both clubs.”
Michael Gray, co-head of the junior section at Bloomfield FC, added:
“We at Bloomfield FC are delighted to be joining the Larne family and we warmly welcome all at Larne into ours.
“Our club is underpinned by the hard work of volunteers and coaches striving to create a fun atmosphere which improves young footballers. It is incredibly exciting to have the professionalism and ambition of Larne to help us achieve our goal and perhaps one day contribute players who can help Larne achieve theirs.”
