We are delighted to announce that an academy parade will take place at half-time during Monday night’s Sports Direct Premiership opener against Dungannon Swifts.
The game will mark your champions returning home to Inver Park to play competitive football, following a summer of European adventure. To mark the occasion, supporters are encouraged to make Inver red by bringing their banners, flags, scarves and colours to the game.
In addition to that, we are looking forward to welcoming our Youth Development Phase and SBYL academy teams, alongside players and coaches from Greenisland FC, who will be parading around the pitch at half-time to celebrate the start of the 2023/24 season.
The club recently announced a partnership with Greenisland FC back in June and this will be the first time that academy teams from both clubs will be showcased together.
Speaking on the occasion, Head of Youth Development Phase, Jeff Hughes said: “It’s a great way to start of the new season.
“With a lot of our younger academy teams not long back from the Summer break, this is a great chance for everyone to get together on the night and start the new season off in style, giving our academy teams the spotlight on the big stage.
“It’s also a great way to start off our partnership with Greenisland FC. A lot of hard work has been going on behind the scenes between the two clubs, but this gives us a great opportunity to showcase the great partnership we are starting to build in front of what I’m sure will be a busy Inver Park on the night.”
Before and after the parade, our academy teams will be situated in the McKay Stand. A ticket link has been made available for players and coaches to secure their seats in this area of the stadium and has been passed on to the Head Coach of each team.
