Cliftonville scored the game’s only goal three minutes before the end of extra-time as Larne bowed out of the BetMcLean Cup at the semi-final stage.
Gary Haveron’s side played with just 10 men for more than an hour of the tie, after Shaun Want was sent off early in the second half. However the Invermen dug in and chances of their own to win it through Cian Bolger and Ryan Nolan.
Destiny Ojo came off the bench to pop up with the winner in the 117th minute to book their place in the decider against Glentoran in March.
Larne now travel to face Glentoran at the Oval on Saturday in the Sports Direct Premiership.
